Conejo Jewish Academy offers new courses





Conejo Jewish Academy will present two courses beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, Thurs., Nov. 2, at 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills. The fee is $25 per course.


"Faith" is a six-part series led by Rabbi Yisroel Levine that will explore what it means to believe and what it is that people should believe in.


"David: King of Israel — the Authorized Biography" is a six-part series led by Rabbi Yitzchak Sapochkinsky offering a textual study of the Book of Samuel.


The academy will also present a seminar, "An Unapologetic Response to Bible Criticism" led by Rabbi J. Immanuel Schochet, Ph.D., from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sun., Nov. 12. It’s designed "for the believer … who has legitimate queries" and is "genuinely interested in acquiring the truth." The fee of $65 includes the seminar, material and lunch; but reservations are required.
