Community health providers can apply now for grants





The Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) is presently accepting applications for the Community Health Partnership (CHP) Grants Program that will award a total of $83,000 to nonprofit organizations and public agencies.


The CHP’s purpose is to support community health interventions that will improve the health of individuals, families, and communities in Ventura County.


This year’s grant cycle will focus on treatment and support of burn victims in Southern California and fire prevention, education and services in Ventura County; and will also fund programs that provide mental health and recovery services to women and/or children who have suffered from physical, sexual, and/or alcohol/substance abuse.

Potential applicants are encouraged to attend an informational meeting at noon Mon., Aug. 25 at VCCF offices, 1317 Del Norte Road, Ste. 150, Camarillo. Deadline for proposals is 5 p.m. Mon., Sept. 15. Grantees will be notified by Nov. 15.
