Community goes to bat for Agoura

During November and December 2015, the Agoura Baseball Foundation held its annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser.

Every year the Agoura Chargers ask the community to support our year-round baseball program by purchasing Wood Mountain trees or donating a tree to our military.

The funds raised are used to pay coaches, maintain the two baseball fields at Agoura High School, and purchase equipment for the fields and players.

The baseball program receives limited funding from the school district and, therefore, we rely heavily on the Christmas Tree Fundraiser to fund the program.

The 2015 fundraising effort was a huge success, with the players raising over $16,000 during a three-week period.

We would like to extend a big thank you to the Agoura Hills and Oak Park communities for supporting our efforts. We sold a record number of trees and received donations of over 100 Trees for Troops that were delivered to military families throughout California.

These results could not be possible without the support of our local community.

We would also like to give a huge shoutout to Ralphs and Vons on Kanan. We had sales tables set up outside these two stores for two consecutive weekends. The management teams of both stores were extremely helpful and accommodating.

Thanks to your support. We look forward to a successful 2016 Marmonte League season for all three of our baseball teams. Go Chargers!
