Community award goes to Westlake Village youth

Amy Johnson, 17, a resident of Westlake Village, has received two community service awards. She is a graduating senior of Chaminade College Preparatory School in West Hills.

Johnson, who is also a debutante, received the Los Angeles Archdiocesan Christian Service Award for her school in April at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles in Los Angeles. Amy has completed more than 700 hours of community service while attending Chaminade.

On May 10 she received the Merci Award from the Conejo Valley Chapter of National Charity League. Amy completed 288 hours of service this year and 1,209 hours of community service in the six years she has belonged to NCL.

Amy will attend the University of San Francisco, majoring in political science.
