Commission meetings on TV

The city of Calabasas believes the public will benefit by seeing its Public Safety Commission meetings on local television and has decided to begin airing the panel hearings.

Previously, the city’s CTV government station televised all commission meetings except for the Public Safety Commission meetings.

“I and the other commissioners feel that by televising the commission meetings, that it provides the community with the opportunity to gain valuable education into a variety of public safety issues,” said Ronald Stillman, vice chair of the Calabasas Public Safety Commission.

Stillman says it’s important for the public to know about issues such as brush clearance and fire safety, among other topics.

The Calabasas Public Safety Commission meets at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of the month. Webcasting of the meetings may be viewed at www.
