College application workshop scheduled

12th-graders will learn essay writing


A free workshop titled “Application and Essay Writing,” designed for 12thgrade students who are applying for college and their parents, will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Aug. 29 at Agoura High School’s G Building, 28545 Driver Ave.

The program is funded by the Las Virgenes Educational Foundation.

The workshop leader is Danny Ruderman, professional college counselor. He is the president of Admit U and author of “The Ultimate College Acceptance System.”

Workshop admission will be first come, first served with a limit of 120 families.

The workshop is the first of many seminars from the College Admissions and Acceptance Program.

Additional program workshops will take place in September for 10th-grade families, January for middle school families, and February for 11thgrade families. Each of these workshops will be from 90 minutes to two hours, and contain specific information for that particular grade level.

Information for all live workshops will be available on the LVEF, LVUSD, school and parent-faculty group websites, and through All Calls and emails to families.
