CLU professor set to speak on China’s global role

Lecture will describe the superpower's effect on U.S



Dr. Haco Hoang, professor of political science and director of international studies at California Lutheran University, will discuss “China’s Role in the World and How it Affects You/ United States” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wed., March 26 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.

China will host the summer Olympics and present itself to the world in a big way. This program will provide an opportunity to become better informed about how China’s growing economic, political and military power affects Americans.

Hoang has taught courses on international relations, global studies, terrorism in world history, ethnic conflict and genocide, public policy and women in politics. She received her doctorate from Boston University and was a Fulbright Scholar at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies in Singapore.

The program is free and open to the public.
