Closing out the year with Kol Tikvah in Woodland Hills


Kol Tikvah at 20400 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills, will present the following programs in December.

Chanukah Community Celebration will be Fri., Dec. 15.

Tot Shabbat service and Adult Text Study will both take place at 5:15 p.m., followed by activities and complimentary dinner at 5:45 p.m.

Dinner requires a reservation at the above website as well as donation of a new, unwrapped toy or teen gift for the West Valley Food Pantry.

Menorah candle lighting and Shabbat service will take place at 6:45 p.m.

Rabbi Jon Hanish, Rabbi Becky Hoffman, Cantor Noa Shaashua and temple band Kolplay will conduct the service, which will be followed by Do-neg (doughnuts and oneg).

Chinese Nosh and Shabbat Service is Fri., Dec. 22.

Chinese appetizers and socializing at 5:45 p.m. will be followed by a musical Kabbalat Shabbat service led by Cantor Noa Shaashua at 6:30 p.m.

An End of Year Shabbat service will take place at 6:30 p.m. Fri., Dec. 29.

The event will also have singing, music and sweet treats.

Toddler Play Groups meet from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesdays. This is a parent/caregiver participation program for children ages 12 to 20 months.
