Climate change is nothing new

One of the many benefits of living a long time is that you get to see history repeat itself. In the 1970s scientists predicted an ice age with global cooling.

The study of climate is a very young science that started in the 1870s. Not until 1963 did Murray Mitchel bring together information from weather stations around the world, building a representation of the Earth’s temperature.
