The push for renewable energy is getting stronger. But it takes a little more green to burn clean.
The Calabasas City Council recently voted to join the Clean Power Alliance, a program that sources renewable energy for residents, but now they’re concerned about the cost. The council voted to switch to 100% renewable energy, which will mean an 11% higher bill for residents who don’t choose a different tier or opt out of the program when it goes into effect next year.
