HAPPY TRAILS—Local UPS driver Steve Krein, who retired after 30 years of service to the residents of Westlake Village, offers a dog treat to Natasha while owner Don Rosenberg looks on during a neighborhood celebration in Krein’s honor Aug. 27 at Three Springs Park. Along with being generally helpful along his route, Krein was also known for leaving dog biscuits with packages he delivered to homes with canine pets. The city gave the retired driver a proclamation. The event also raised more than $1,000 for the Agoura Animal Shelter. During his career, Krein delivered nearly 2 million packages and drove the equivalent of 13 times around the Earth. Now that’s service.
