Cinderella Project seeks prom attire for foster teens

Assistance League Conejo Valley is seeking donations of contemporary prom attire for the Cinderella Project. These clothes will allow foster teens to attend their spring proms in style.

The organization is partnering with James Storehouse, another community-based nonprofit.

James Storehouse will host a Spring Tea on March 11 followed by a Prom Pop-Up Boutique for foster teens in preparation for their proms. At the boutique, the teens can select their formal clothes.

The Cinderella Project is accepting donations of formal dresses of all sizes, but preferably long and in sizes 10 and larger along with jewelry, shoes and purses.

In addition, young men’s suits and shirts as well as cummerbunds, ties, bow ties and shoes are being collected.

Clothing donations can be dropped off during business hours at the Assistance League Conejo Valley Thrift Shop, 2853 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., in Skyline Plaza, Thousand Oaks.

Business hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and until 7 p.m. Thursdays.

The deadline for donations is March 9.
