Agoura High’s girls’ basketball team opened league with some nifty fireworks.
The Chargers, 11-7 overall, toppled Oaks Christian 53-48 in double overtime on Jan. 8 in the Marmonte League opener. They’ve also defeated Westlake (48-34) and Thousand Oaks (47-44).
“We don’t have great athletes, but we have very, very smart basketball players,” third-year head coach Jason Ancrum said. “I believe we are one of the better defensive teams in the league. The key for us is offensive execution.”
