Card making for kids, adults

The Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara will host a free card making workshop for adults and kids from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thurs., July 12 at 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village.

Participants do not need to be “artsy.” The program is for those who wish to express gratitude to those who have helped them through their donations to the Cancer Support Community and want to have fun making cool stuff.

Arts and crafts supplies will be provided for participants to make thank you cards from recycled materials. Guests can also bring magazines or photos to use or donate.

The workshop leader is Dana Zurzolo, an artist, quilter and educator working in Ventura County. She is also a cancer survivor.

Zurzolo taught art and design at Pepperdine University for 16 years.

She has an MFA from Plymouth University in the U.K., a master’s degree from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts.
