The Calabasas Planning Commission and City Council recently endorsed a zoning amendment to safeguard the city’s shrinking inventory of land available for commercial development.
Calabasas will no longer allow multifamily dwellings and senior residential complexes to be built in commercial retail zones within the city. Convalescent facilities offering medical care would still be allowed in those areas.
