Malibu Canyon
pipeline done

Through much of the spring and summer, workers installed a new 24-inch recycled water pipeline. The line is buried along Malibu Canyon Road between the Tapia Water Reclamation Facility and Mulholland Highway.

The new line stretches nearly two miles and will provided additional volume and more reliable recycled water service for irrigation customers.

The completed project, which was partially funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, will help conserve potable water which must be imported from northern California.

Motorists who were inconvenienced by the project’s lane restrictions will soon be riding over a newly repaved roadway surface.
