Calabasas City Council completes appointments





During a recent meeting, the Calabasas City Council approved appointments and reappointments for seats on various civic commissions. Most were chosen by the councilmembers who were recently elected (Michael Harrison) and reelected (James Bozajian and Lesley Devine) in March.


Peter Jancourtz, Michael Murrie and Stewart Dickson were named to the Communications/Technology Commission for terms expiring March 31, 2001.


Sanjay Kumar, Mireille Neumann and Kenneth Alvin Solomon were named to the Community Policing Commission for terms expiring March 31, 2003.


Robert Robins Jr., Gene Johnson and Kathy Berkowitz were selected for the Environmental Commission for terms expiring March 31, 2003.


Madalena Bastos-Connelly and Ellen Pangarliotas were chosen for the Library Commission for terms expiring March 31, 2004.


Former city councilman Robert Sibilia, Myra Turek and Mark Shear were appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission for terms expiring March 31, 2003. Sibilia vacated his council seat in December 2000 to make a career move to Hawaii and has now returned to Calabasas.


Richard Wildman, Peter Valk and Diana Brenke were appointed to the Traffic/Transportation Commission for terms that expire on March 31, 2003.


Michael Piszker, Helene Regen and Fern Huddleston were named to the Tree Board for terms expiring March 31, 2003.
