Sun., Nov. 3 at 8 a.m. Sapwi Trails Community Park. Meet in the parking lot at Westlake Blvd. across from Rainfield Ave. Sammy Cowell will lead.
Wed., Nov. 13 at 8 a.m. Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa led by Richard Armerding.
Sat., Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. Cal State Channel Islands. Meet at intersection of Round Mountain and Potrero roads. The walk will be followed by dinner and drinks at Brendan’s Irish Pub in Camarillo. Bonnie Clarfield-Bylin will lead the walk.
Celebrate autumn with a flower show
The Conejo Valley Garden Club will stage a placement flower show called Come Celebrate Autumn with Flowers at the Stagecoach Inn, 51 S. Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park.
The show will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Nov. 2 and 3 on the first floor of the museum, with horticultural specimens in the basement of the inn.
The event will also have large arrangements, miniatures and decorated trays.
Succulent-decorated pumpkins will be for sale.
General admission to the inn is $5; and $4 for seniors and $2 for kids age 5 to 12.

Two Conejo Valley school board members are on the calendar for the Democratic Women’s Council of the Conejo Valley’s annual Champagne Brunch, which will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Sat., Nov. 9 at Boccaccio’s Restaurant, 32123 Lindero Canyon Road, Ste. 104, Westlake Village.
Cindy Goldberg and Jenny Fitzgerald, both elected to the board last year, will join U.S. Rep. Julia Brownley (D-Thousand Oaks) and Carmen Ramirez, candidate for Ventura County’s 5th Supervisorial District (Oxnard), at the event.
Ramirez is a former Oxnard City Council member and mayor.
The cost to attend is $25.

Mindfulness to help manage stress
Residents can attend a new group to learn about mindfulness and how it can help them manage stress in their life.
The group meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for seven weeks on Tuesdays beginning Nov. 5 at Cal Lutheran University’s Community Counseling Services, 31416 Agoura Road, Ste. 115, Westlake Village.
The group is for adults over the age of 18 years.
The fee to attend ranges from $10 to $20 a week, depending upon one’s income.

Farmers market holiday hours
The Thousand Oaks Certified Farmers Market at The Oaks mall will close Thurs., Nov. 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The market will reopen for two holiday shopping weeks on Dec. 5 and 12, and then open in the New Year on Thurs., Jan. 9.
The farmers market takes place in the east-end parking lot of The Oaks mall at Wilbur Road from noon to 5 p.m. Thursdays.
