Hospice gets grant

Loving Home Hospice in Agoura Hills was awarded $50,000 from the Medicated Assisted Treatment Access Points Project.

MAT is administered and managed by The Center at Sierra Health Foundation.

The grant was given to increase access to MAT and mental health counseling for drug-addicted children who are under 21 years of age and living in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, officials said.

Loving Home Hospice, a nonprofit organization, hosts multiple fundraising events throughout the year to provide inpatient and home care through a team coordinated by physicians and registered nurses.

The group offers hospice care to children with life threatening illnesses. Palliative care is for those living with lifelong illnesses.
