WLV club welcomes newcomers

The Westlake Village Newcomers Club invites prospective members to attend the group’s annual free Kick-off Coffee event at 10 a.m. Wed., Sept. 12 at the Westlake Yacht Club, 32123 Lindero Canyon Road.

A continental breakfast will be served. Guests will have the opportunity to meet members and learn about the club’s activities.

The WLV Newcomers Club is open to residents living in ZIP codes 91361, 91362 and 91377.

Make a card or two

The Agoura Hills Recreation and Events Center will host a card-making class from 6 to 9 p.m. Tues., Sept. 11 at 29900 Ladyface Court.

Attendees can hand make specialty cards and take home four completed cards.

No experience is necessary and all materials are included.

The class is limited to 16. The cost is $25.

GOP women host speaker

The Woodland Hills Republican Women Federated will meet from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 13 at the Woodland Hills Country Club, 21150 Dumetz Road, Woodland Hills.

The speaker is Ruth Weiss, vice president and co-founder of Election Integrity Project California Inc. Other speakers include candidates for the November election.

There will also be lunch and shopping. The lunch cost is $25.
