A jazzy benefit
American saxophonist Kenny G will play at a Smooth Jazz Fest fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Fri., June 22 at Viewpoint School’s Carlson Family Theater, 23620 Mulholland Hwy., Calabasas.
All funds will support Loving Home Hospice for Children, an organization providing inpatient, home care and palliative care for children with life-threatening and terminal illnesses.
In addition to entertainment and refreshments, the event will have an after-hours performance by Calabasas saxophonist Samantha Shapiro.

Free harp concert
The HarpWorks Ensemble will perform at 3 p.m. Sat., June 23 at the newly opened Belmont Village in Calabasas, 24141 Ventura Blvd. The concert is free and open to the public.
The ensemble, which features seven harps, is directed by professional harpist and teacher Michelle Whitson Stone. The harpists are her students, ages 15 to 71.
Whitson Stone teaches private harp lessons out of her Woodland Hills studio.

The Channel Islands Harmony Chorus is open to new male singers, both young and old.
Members don’t need to be accomplished singers.
The group is led by Jim Brown, director and vocal coach.
