Expert to speak on Bible and science

The Conejo Jewish Academy will host a lecture by author and scientist Gerald L. Schroeder at 8 p.m. Mon., Nov. 13 in its Skelton Family Lecture Hall at 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

He will speak on “Quantum Physics and the Afterlife: Is Science Discovering Life after Death?”

Schroeder, author of numerous books on science and religion, recently made headlines as one of those responsible for convincing one of the world’s leading atheists, Antony Flew, to become a believer in God.

Flew credited Schroeder’s book “The Hidden Face of God” and subsequent conversations with the author as being instrumental in the transformation.

In the book, the MIT-trained scientist demonstrates how science, properly understood, provides positive reasons for faith.

Research in biology, chemistry, physics and neuroscience contains hints about the ultimate nature of reality.

The event is open to the community. The cost is $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
