As a resident, I was disappointed that the city’s Jan. 4 workshop on Calabasas building code amendments was not an open, public exchange like all previous city workshops I have attended. Instead, residents were engaged one-on-one or in disorganized clumps where we could not hear what was being asked and answered by others.
