Brad Johnson starts new church in Calabasas

Conejo Valley minister Brad Johnson has launched a new church, Life Change Community Church, in Calabasas.

Hishopeistocreataaworship community “where spiritual process is honored and authenticity is allowed,” according to a release by the church.

Johnson previously served as the teaching pastor at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village until his resignation in 2007.

He has advanced degrees in religion-related disciplines, including a doctorate from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

The ministry was founded online in 2008 with daily video presentations at www. lifechangecommunity.org. A weekly Bible study group grew out of that.

Weekly Sunday services with contemporary music for adults and programs for children and students will begin in January at the Edwards Grant Palace Cinema in The Commons, Calabasas.

“Our church will reflect a ‘come as you are’ acceptance,” said Johnson. “We will be a place where people grow in their relationship with Christ, where scripture is communicated in a relevant, clear way.”
