Boys & Girls Club to host annual gala

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley will host their 15th annual Stand Up For Kids gala dinner and action Sat., Oct. 21 at Four Seasons Westlake Village, Two Dole Drive.

A hosted reception and silent auction will begin at 5 p.m. in a garden tent.

The program, gourmet dinner and live auction will be at 6:30 p.m. in the grand ballroom.

Following the gala, organizers will offer live music by Orchid and Beryl at 9 p.m. in the garden tent.

Randy Pentis, retired Thousand Oaks police chief, will serve as master of ceremonies.

The honorees are community philanthropists Bob and Audrey Byers.

Jack Gleason, four-year board member, will receive the Cal Johnston Service Award. Youth of the Year Awards will be presented to Danielle Connor (14 years and older category) and Iverson Rodriquez (13 years and younger category).

Proceeds will provide quality programming for youth ages 3 to 14 at nine local Boys & Girls Clubs.
