Born Learners School will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Fri., Dec. 3 on the campus at 28348 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills, reuniting past graduates from 1979 to the present. The privately-owned pre-elementary school serves Agoura/Calabasas with outreach into Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and Moorpark.

From noon to 3 p.m. the school will host a snow day complete with activities centers and holiday festivities for their current students that will also serve as a fundraiser.

From 3 to 5 p.m., Born Learner alums will be reunited and assembled (along with their parents) for photo opportunities, socializing, appetizers, music "and memories."

Born Learners is owned and operated by Beatrice Elliot, B.A., M.S., who co-founded the school in 1979. A speech and language specialist, Elliot believed that all young minds were natural "born learners." Opening its door with three students its inaugural year, the school implemented Elliot’s "whole child" approach to teaching. Today the school has about 80 preschool through transitional kindergarten and kindergarten-aged children and continues to operate with its "whole child" approach that has been adopted by the Las Virgenes Unified School District’s elementary educational system in recent years.
