Book sale to benefit

Oak Park Library

Oak Park High School senior Lindsay Bailey, a Girl Scout working on her Gold Award, the top award in Scouting, has organized a used-book sale to benefit Oak Park Library. The sale will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Nov. 20 in the Pavilion at Oak Park High School, 899 N. Kanan Road, Oak Park. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the recently opened library.

Lindsay’s goal is to help increase the number of volumes available to students at the high school. She’s working in cooperation with the Oak Park High School Honor Society and the Medea Creek Middle School Community Service Club.

Gently used and new books are still needed for the sale. Drop-off boxes are located in the school offices at Oak Park High School, Medea Creek Middle School and all three elementary schools in the Oak Park Unified School District. Unsold books will be donated to Many Mansions of Thousand Oaks.

Lindsay has been involved in Scouting for 12 years and has been an Oak Park resident since age 4. For more information on donating books for the sale, please call Lindsay at (818) 707-3341.
