Phillip Bickford isn’t headed to Canada after all.
Bickford, a former Oaks Christian High righthanded pitcher, failed to reach a contract agreement with the Toronto Blue Jays, the team that drafted him 10th overall in last month’s Major League Baseball amateur draft.
The Blue Jays had until July 12 to sign Bickford, whose fastball reaches 97 miles per hour.
