Blotter blooper

For the umteenth week in a row, Oak Park has disappeared from the Sheriff’s Blotter.

Who can tell us when anything appeared about Oak Park last? All is so well crime-wise in Oak Park that nothing is being reported weekly for quite some time now.

Who believes this? No more vandals, no more thefts, no more break-ins. I certainly don’t.

But alas, there seems to be crime all around us in Agoura Hills, Calabasas and Westlake Village but nothing in Oak Park.

Is there no room for Oak Park in The Acorn’s Sherriff’s Blotter section or is there just no crime?

I don’t know about you, but I like to be aware and informed of what is going on in my community. Are we second-class citizens in Oak Park and don’t deserve to be informed about crime in our area?

I thought The Acorn included news about Oak Park activities.

And I hope the lack of any incident reports appearing in the Blotter doesn’t mean that Oak Park isn’t being patrolled and protected by the sheriff’s department. After all, we do pay taxes in Oak Park for protection.

I think I recall seeing a sheriff’s car or two every now and then driving on the streets of Oak Park, so I know they are around. I just don’t understand why Oak Park incidents that used to be reported in the Blotter have just stopped.
