Blood drive helps ailing Calabasas councilmember

PATRICK SHELBY/Acorn Newspapers GIFT OF LIFE—Cynthia Marker of Calabasas donates blood during an American Red Cross blood drive at Chaparral Elementary School last Thursday. Donations were made in the name of Peter Jancourtz, vice chair of the city’s Communications and Techology Commission, who is battling leukemia and has required more than 12 pints of blood in the last three weeks.
