Blaze destroys Headwaters Corner

But no homes were lost in last weekend’s 500-acre fire

City and fire officials spent the week assessing damage from the June 4 Old Fire in Calabasas, a fast-moving blaze that destroyed much of the scenic Headwaters Corner at Mulholland Highway and Old Topanga Road and caused the evacuation of some 500 homes in the Highlands, Eddingham and Adamsville neighborhoods.
Firefighters didn’t gain the upper hand until late Sun., June 5.
