Bicyclists as super-spreaders

Today I witnessed a large group of bicyclists, all unmasked. There were 20 to 30 of them riding close together, yelling to one another and breathing hard as they cycled up Kanan Road through Oak Park.

These packs of cyclists have always been a road hazard for drivers. Now, these large, unmasked groups of cyclists are potentially a moving super-spreader event.

Even though they ride outdoors, these cyclists are not socially distancing and could very well be spreading the virus among themselves, as well as to all the pedestrians they pass.

Why is this activity allowed?
