But here’s the rub: my neighbors and I have been experiencing a rat problem the last couple of months. One neighbor and I set traps; another neighbor put out rodenticide.
The rats just ate the peanut butter and avoided the traps. It’s amazing how clever they are. The neighbor’s rodenticide obviously worked; the rat was disabled on the lawn, alive, and I killed it with a shovel.
