Beach trash can harm wildlife




 
A male royal tern was rescued at Malibu’s Westward Beach Dec. 2 after a lifeguard spotted it struggling. Jeff Hall, marine mammal coordinator for the California Wildlife Center, went to the rescue, finding the bird on the beach with its head firmly stuck through a sandwich bag.
