Be prepared, Scout says

Your recent article on landslide preparedness for your car trunk intrigued me.
Being in the Boy Scouts of America, we are taught to be prepared for any situation, large-scale or minor. We learn the importance of survival in the outdoors when we need it. We are stressed to learn the importance of leadership and rank, for Scouts must depend on each other.
Reading this article brought to my mind the Scout motto, “Be prepared,” and reminded me of the importance of being ready for disast...
