Ventura County is seeing a resurgence of new COVID-19 cases and could revert to the purple tier of the governor’s blueprint for reopening as early as Nov. 17. The regression from red to purple means a host of businesses and establishments would need to revert to outdoor activities only and some, like movie theaters, would have to close altogether.
“Quite frankly, it’s a punch in the gut to our community who’s been working so hard,” County CEO Mike Powers said.
