Auction to help business women





NAWBO, the National Association of Women Business Owners in Ventura County, will host a fourth annual Silent Auction and Membership Dinner at 6 p.m. on Thurs., Feb. 15 at the Renaissance Hotel, 30100 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills.


The auction and dinner will support the growth of women business owners from the east San Fernando Valley to Ventura County as well as NAWBO’s scholarships.


Guest speaker Phyllis Slater is owner and president of Hill Slater, Inc., an engineering and architectural support systems firm.


She’s a three-time delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business, and is chairwoman and co-founder of Women Business Owners Corporation, a NAWBO affiliated organization. Advance reservations before Feb. 10 are $45; tickets at the door are $60.
