The Calabasas Library will offer the following free programs in December at 200 Civic Center Way.

The library will be closed Sat. through Tues., Dec. 22 to 25 for the Christmas holiday as well as Mon. and Tues., Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for New Year’s Eve and Day.

The library will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Sun., Dec. 30.

Study Buddies and Peer Counseling will be cancelled from Tues. through Thurs., Dec. 18 to Jan. 3. The programs will restart Tues., Jan. 8.

New and emerging readers in K-3 can read aloud to therapy dogs from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sat., Dec. 1. Each child will have 15 minutes to read. Reservations will begin at 11 a.m. in the library.

Paula Fortunato will show adults how to create oil-infused home products at 1 p.m. Sat., Dec. 1. She will discuss essential oils and their uses in daily life.

The Love to Learn Tutoring Program will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sat., Dec. 1 only and will be cancelled for the remainder of the month. The program will restart in January.

The Writers’ Club for students in grades three through seven will be at 3:30 p.m. Sat., Dec. 1. No experience in creative writing is necessary.

Yoga and You at noon Thurs., Dec. 6, 13 and 20 will be instructed by Deanne Wenger. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or large towel.

The 2nd Thursday Book Club for adults will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 13. Membership in the book club is free; however, a library card is required to participate. For more information, send an email to Caroline Russom at crussom@calabasaslibrary.org.
