• A new family storytime series will at 7 p.m. Wednesdays in the children’s reading room. Each week will have a different theme with stories and crafts for children 3 to 7 years old.
•Lunch Time at the Library at noon Thurs., June 2. The Calabasas Historical Society will give a look inside its collection of books, pamphlets, periodicals, newspapers, clippings, transcriptions of oral histories of local residents and photographs.
•Readers in grades K-3 can read aloud to therapy dogs for 15 minutes between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., June 4. Reservations will begin at 10:30 a.m.
•The book club for grades four through six will meet at 4 p.m. Wed., June 8 to discuss “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” by Brian Selznick.
• Yoga and You at the Library at noon Thurs., June 9 and 30. One-hour yoga session. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or large towel and water.
No experience is necessary and all are welcome. The yoga instructor is Deanne Wenger.
•Second Thursday Book Club meets at 6:30 p.m. June 9 to discuss “The Book of Salt” by Monique Truong.
Membership in the book club is free; however, a library card is required to participate.
•A story time specifically designed for children on the autism spectrum will meet at 1:30 p.m. Sun., June 12 in the children’s reading room.
Each story time session will have participatory storytelling, sensory songs, and social support.
• The book club for grades two and three will meet at 2 p.m. Wed., June 15 to read and discuss two books, “ Love that Dog” and “Hate that Cat” by Sharon Creech.
