Artists go back to nature




The National Parks Service Visitor Center will run an art exhibit titled “Artist’s Path To Our Parks” from March 4 through 31 at the center, 401 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

The exhibit opening and artist reception will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sun., March 4. Light refreshments will be served.

Guests can view the work of local artists who often meet as a group in the Santa Monica Mountains and local parks to create plein-air art.

The participating artists for this exhibit are Mike Bauer, Rosemary Bauer, Linda Bratkovich, Bea Elliott, Jill Hackett, Niki Kaftan, Robin Underhill, Jeri Vargas and Loraine Veeck. Veeck leads the painting workshops for the artists.
