Art captures So Cal vibe

. CLU exhibit highlights people places, culture


California Lutheran University’s Kwan Fong Gallery of Art and Culture will feature an exhibit titled “Southland: Drawings from Southern California” from Thurs., Oct. 10 through Sat., Nov. 16 with a reception at 7 p.m. Sat., Oct. 19 in the Soiland Humanities Center on the south side of Memorial Parkway on the Thousand Oaks campus.

There will be landscape studies and large multimedia creations by artists Justin Bua, Kathiucia Dias, Sean Ghobad, Scott Kiche, Luis Peña, Kate Wolfgang Savage, Mia Tavonatti and Aihua Zhou.

The exhibit will feature the artists’ representations of the people, places and culture of Southern California.

The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
