Arbor Day in honor of the trees



The City of Calabasas will host its annual Arbor Day celebration Sat., March 22 at Gates Canyon Park, 25801 Thousand Oaks Blvd.
Festivities will include tree planting and a smart gardening workshop where participants can learn about composting.
The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at noon with a tree planting ceremony.
The free family event is an opportunity to teach kids and adults to appreciate the environment, according to city officials.
