Animal shelter looks better

We, the resident animals in Agoura Hills, have voted our shelter number one. We want to thank the wonderful people companions that take such outstanding care of us 365 days a year and now we’re even more thankful that our temporary home is a safer place for our friends to visit.

We especially want to thank some terrific people for responding to our concerns that were expressed in a previous article in The Acorn regarding the danger of coming into and out of the Agoura Hills Animal Shelter.

Trees that obscured the entry drive and the shelter sign were trimmed back, the mail box was relocated on site, the animal shelter sign was made more visible and additional street signs were added to further direct entry into the shelter.

We applaud the following persons who made this happen: Kelly Fisher, assistant engineer, city of Agoura Hills; Susan Nissman, field representative in Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky’s field office in Calabasas, and Greg Ramirez, city manager, city of Agoura Hills.
