Angels in our community

I would like to say thanks to all the wonderful people who took time out of their Sunday evening to help me. I was on my way to the Dean Torrance concert in the park when I fell and broke/dislocated my ankle at Agoura High School.

There were two women who stopped and gave me comfort while we were trying to get through to 911. Someone else ran over and got the CERT team, in attendance at the concert, to come over and give advice on how to take care of myself while waiting.

The fire department came along with the paramedics. Yes, they were all cute and were fast and professional. The ambulance team that transported me to Los Robles Hospital kept me comfortable and laughing the whole way. Another big thanks goes to the staff of nurses and doctors at Los Robles who were incredible, too. I was taken in immediately and attended to with professionalism and a touch of humor.

For what could have been a horrible experience I have to say that everyone that took the time to help me made it more of an adventure instead of a bad experience. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. You have restored my belief that there are still great people in the world. Diane Kay Oak Park
