America voted Tuesday and Alisan Porter, an Agoura Hills mother of two with big vocal cords and singing ability to match, won the season 10 finale of NBC’s “The Voice.” Porter, 34, boarded a flight to New York Wednesday to perform an original song from the competition, “Down That Road,” on NBC’s “The Today Show.”

A two month separation from her family during the last leg of the show was difficult, husband Brian Autenrieth told The Acorn, but worth it.

“To win makes it all worthwhile. It’s only the very beginning of what could be. We’re so happy,” Autenrieth said. “She can’t believe it.”

Porter has been a lifelong singer and performer.
