Agoura Hills to host State of the City


The City of Agoura Hills will host its annual State of the City address from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wed., Oct. 25 at the Agoura Hills Recreation and Event Center, 29900 Ladyface Court.

The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce is cosponsoring the event.

A “Sea of Flags” will be displayed on the outdoor terrace, courtesy of Pepperdine University.

J.B. Long, “Voice of the Los Angeles Rams,” will return as the master of ceremonies.

Mayor Denis Weber will address officials and guests on the current condition of Agoura Hills and where he sees the city headed in the months to come.

Weber will also announce the Agoura Hills Business of the Year and present the Helping Hands Award.

After the mayor’s presentation, Angel Robertson, chair of the Chamber board and general manager for Dallas Capital, will give a State of the Chamber address.

Weber is in his 24th year on the City Council and serving his sixth term as mayor. He has been elected six times to the council, more than any other member.

He is senior vice president at California United Bank of Thousand Oaks and serves on the board of governors for the Greater Conejo Valley Boys & Girls Clubs.
