Agoura Hills Library to host two special speakers





The Agoura Hills Library will host two special guest speakers in upcoming programs in the community room at the library, 29901 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills.

Award-winning broadcaster and environmentalist Nancy Pearlman of the Ecology Center of Southern California, who teaches how to safeguard the Earth’s ecosystems, will speak at 1 p.m. on Sat., July 13.


She hosts the "Environmental Directions" weekly radio series and the Emmy award-nominated television series "EcoNews." In addition to founding the Ecology Center, she founded Project Ecotourism in 1993, which strives to educate the public about being responsible, ecological-minded tourists.


Author Noah Andre Trudeau will talk about and sign his book, "Gettysburg: A Testing of Courage," at 6:30 p.m. on Mon., July 15. The book deals with the final months of the Civil War from a military, social, cultural and political perspective.


An executive producer with National Public Radio, Trudeau has been described as "a narrative historian of the Civil War."
