The City of Agoura Hills increased its community grants budget this year by $850 and granted funding requests from two new groups.
The increase still didn’t meet the demands of the local groups seeking financial assistance from the city.
In all, the city pledged $17,600 to local organizations for the 2014-15 fiscal year, up from $16,750 last year.
Almost 20 nonprofits and school groups had asked for about $85,000.
