Agoura Hills city manager earns Business Journal award

Greg Ramirez, city manager for Agoura Hills, was selected as a recipient of the top "40 Under 40" awards given by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal.

The "40 Under 40" awards honor young professional business leaders who are under 40 years of age and have made a significant impact on their communities in the Conejo and greater San Fernando valleys.

"Greg is a tremendous asset to the city of Agoura Hills," said Mayor Dan Kuperberg. "He has a passion and dedication for those he serves. He also has great vision to lead our city for years to come."

"It was truly an honor just to be nominated," Ramirez said. He received his award during a special presentation at the Warner Center Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills.

Ramirez became city manager of Agoura Hills in February after serving the previous six years as assistant city manager. Prior to that, he worked for the cities of La Mirada and Santa Fe Springs. He also was employed by the League of California Cities.

Ramirez and his wife, Lauren, have a 1-year-old son, Gabriel.
