The hatchback window of an SUV had $1,000 damage after it was smashed while it was parked in a Lake Lindero Drive driveway between 9 and 11 p.m. Aug. 5.

No estimate of dollar loss accompanied the report of a Blazer that was keyed on Meadow Vista Way the night of July 29.

The total loss was $400 after an SUV window was shattered an in-dash stereo was stolen in the parking lot of a business in the 28700 block of Roadside Drive between noon and 2:30 p.m. July 31.

Calabasas


A 2001 Toyota Avalon, tools and a flashlight were stolen from a Helmond Drive garage the night of Aug. 4. A side door to the home’s garage had been left unlocked and the loss was $12,365.

The loss was $2,347 after a computer was stolen from a vehicle the evening of July 25 on Las Virgenes Road.

Two reports were belatedly released for unknown reasons: (1) An unlocked car provided easy access for burglar(s) who stole a cell phone the night of April 22 on N. Las Virgenes Road. The loss was $300. And (2) from a Las Virgenes Road carport, a guitar was stolen from an unlocked Jeep between 12:30 and 9 a.m. May 28. That report was taken on June 6.

A Saturn had $1,700 damages after vandalism to its windshield and hood during daytime on Aug. 4 in the 500 block of Live Oak Circle Drive.

Between January and July 22, the loss was $1,400 after luggage and garment bags were stolen. A padlock had $5 damage and the theft occurred at a storage facility in the 23800 block of Ventura Boulevard.

Somebody stole a purse from a supermarket grocery cart around 4:10 p.m. July 27 in the 22200 block of Mulholland Highway. The purse and its contents (including a cell phone) were valued at $392.

A backpack, two wallets, cash and credit cards (totaling a loss of $225) were stolen from a table behind a cash register at a store in the 23500 block of Calabasas Road. Two female Hispanics (who visited the shop between 11 and 11:45 a.m. on a recent morning) are suspects because no other customers visited the store during the time of the theft. One was 45 (5-4, 175) with blonde hair; the other was 25 (5-3, 175) with shoulder-length brown hair.

A car’s rear window had $200 damage after vandalism at A.E. Wright Middle School the afternoon of July 24.

Westlake Village


Doors and door frames to First Neighborhood Community Center had $5,500 damages after suspect(s) tried to pry them open on July 29 or 30.

From a pool shed, two pumps and miscellaneous plumbing and pool filter equipment were stolen. The theft occurred the night of July 31 in the 30800 block of Mesilla Way and the loss was $2,000.

A window screen of a mobile home on Fallen Leaf was damaged between noon and 6 p.m. Aug. 2 and jewelry was stolen. Total loss: $1,050.

The loss was $1,020 after a CD case and 50 music CDs were stolen from behind a snack bar at a business in the 4800 block of Lakeview Canyon Road between July 26 and 29.

The loss was $400 after the antenna of a Lexus was ripped and bent in a supermarket parking lot between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. July 31 in the 5700 block of Lindero Canyon Road.

At 3:10 a.m. Aug. 8 in the 2300 block of Townsgate Road, a computer monitor and notebook computer were stolen (a loss of $3,200).

Between 10 a.m. Aug. 1 and 12:45 p.m. Aug. 4 in the 1400 block of Eastwind Circle, the total loss was $15,000 when cash, jewelry and other items were stolen from a home.

Someone stole a purse and its contents (a loss of $573) between midnight and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 5 in the 100 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

At 11:30 p.m. Aug. 7 on Thousand Oaks Boulevard at Westlake Boulevard, someone was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Someone was cited for possession of marijuana at 11:14 p.m. Aug. 7 on Thousand Oaks Boulevard at Westlake Boulevard.
